unsent mail stuck in outbox

Hi, I have an unsent message sitting in my outbox that I
can not get rid of. I have WinME and outlook 2000. I have
tried several ways listed in the help sections of
microsoft. I changed the outllib.dll to .bad and removed
office and reinstalled. didn't work, I tried to change
personal folders, didn't work. Am at my wits end. Can
anyone help me. Thank you

Modify your send/receive settings so that Outlook doesn't send or receive.
Stop and restart Outlook. Delete the message. Restore your send/receive
settings. Stop and restart Outlook.
