Unrecogized DB format. Can I hide it ?

Hello. Boy have I messed up. I was fooling around with my database 2000 and
opened it in Word, some of it got deleted by accident and now it says
"unrecognized database format" and won't open.

I really am low on the totem pole and probably will get fired over this if
he can prove I did this. I know I shouldn't play around with things but I
did. I never again will experiement with things I don't know enough about.

Will the database guru here at work be able to tell I did this ???

Simple answer = Yes


Best bet would be to go and see your IT types and say you did it in error.
Oh and you may want to point out that if they had correctly initiated your
front end then you wouldn't have been able to make this error - so it's
really their fault. - Worth a try.

They are going to find out VERY quickly anyway so maybe better to just go
and tell them you made a mistake. It is unlikely that any table will have
been messed up - and they will be easly able to restore the D Base to it's
pre-maryied state.
