I think the system files are corrupted... It's weird..., you should wait,
somebody replied in your own post that the MVPs are trying on a script.

If English is not your first language, it is better to get tech support
in a newsgroup specifically for your native language. Here is a list of
all MS newsgroups:

In any case, please go here to see how to make a good newsgroup post:

I do not say this to hurt your feelings, but rather to help you maximize
your chances of getting a good answer. This current post is unreadable.
I have no idea who "Mary" is, what the problem is, or what "Mary" has
done to troubleshoot already.

Please always reply to your original thread, Mary.

Compliments of Kelly:

Use TweakUI/Logon/Unread Mail and Repair/Unread Mail Count

Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen (Line 100)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To remove an account or to change the count manually:

Start>Run>Regedit>navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\[Your
E-Mail Address]. In the right pane modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail. In
the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays Change it to 0.

1. You are posting via CDO, have no clue which email client you are using.
2. Unread mail is listed here under Current User not Local Machine:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail
3. If it isn't there, that is another issue.
4. You are in good hands and hope all goes well.
