Please tell me how to stop IE from launching at startup. I get two seperate unpromted launches at every startup. I have tried to change the security settings under the advanced tab of control panel/internet options, but it has not helped. I have ran spyware detection software, and nothing is found. I am up to date with virus protection and spyware detection software, but nothing seems to find anything. Please help. Thanks.

unless you broke IE, it sounds like a trojan at work.

Run SYSEDIT from the start/run applet.
Open System.ini file

If you see a command such as
shell=Explorer.exe iexplore.exe change it to

SHELL=EXPLORER.EXE
nothing else on the line.
Save and reboot.

If you do have the entry then it may have been caused by a trojan/virus or
parasites.
