Unlocking locked documents

i had used the "make documents private" to lock my doc. now i had to
reinstall windows cause my hard drive died. i had all my documents on a
second drive so they are all intact. but because it's a fresh install, it
won't allow me intothem by sayin " access denied". what can i do to recover
all my documents? i need them. pls help

You simply need to take ownership of the files.
