You have no worrys there its just xp running leave well alone....


wmiprvse.exe is a part of the Microsoft Windows Operating System and deals with WMI operations through the WinMgmtexe process. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

Run an AntiVirus scan just in case, as I don't have that file in my task manager. As Crazylegs says, it is also a valid file for windows operations.

Your right there Ian although this worms definition has been around since april 2004...So hopefully anyone running a half decent up to date antivirus shouldn't have a problem with it....


But yes always best to do a scan anyway...you never know....
