Hello,

I have a hidden file in my windows/system32 folder that incessantly asks for
outgoing Internet access via Mcafee. This file is hidden, when I look at the
properties it is not signed. Even though I click on 'block application' in
Mcafee, it keeps on asking and does not get registered within Mcafee.

Soes anyone have this file or know what it is? When I tried to rename it,
it fails as it says the program is being used by another application or
person...

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Barry

Hi

Have you virus checked your system with the latest definitions for your Anti
Virus program?

Also please try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your
system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://forum.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip
Spy Sweeper - www.webroot.com

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

Hi Will,

I tried them all and also run Mcafee. Doesn;t find the file as a virus, but
the damn file asks for Internet access about 6 times per day and somehow
works itself around the block feature in Mcafee.
