I see this is a common issue. But what I am seeing is a common correction.
Smoke the folders and or problem email and allow it to rebuild. I've got
this process memorized...

What I want to know is how to stop it !!

It occurs weekly. Always the same thing. Mail not flowing in or out.
Always the same solution, exit mail browse to app data\MS\MS mail back it up
smoke it restart email...

Life is good for a while again... So I'm not looking for a fix, I'm looking
for a prevention !!

Vista 32 ... the only thing is PC-Cillin 2008 Suite with email scan and spam
blocker. As of now (after the fix) spam blocker is disabled... we will see
how that goes.

What gives .. looks like I'm not the only one. Anyone any ideas?

It may help to leave email scanning disabled.

Windows Mail is very sensitive to interference from security products
like antivirus and anti-spam. There is some evidence that Windows
Live Mail is less sensitive in this regard, so you might consider
upgrading: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

In any case, antivirus email scanning should be disabled.

Where did you get that build of WM 6.06.6000.16386?

That's what I have on Vista Business according to WinMail's Help, but
WinMail.exe is 16480.
