unknow file

I have a unknow file in my c: drive directory. The name is Inetpub. There
are some sub-directory under this file name: wwwroot, mailroot ... I don't
know where does it come from. Is it a virus? How can I remove it? Just
delete the whole file? Thanks

Doing a quick search at google it seems that the folder as well as the
sub-folders are all legit programs.
 
Hello Wilson,

inetpub is the folder that MS creates for all the extra Internet Information
Services. They basically allows you to do a whole bunch of things, like
host a web server, pop3 server, ftp server, and all sorts of other things.
If you want to remove it all you have to do it goto add/remove programs on
the right hand side click the "Add/Remove Windows Components" then uncheck
the box next to Internet Information Services(IIS) and it should remove the
folders, along with all the server functions.
