I just went through this so I can help someone while I am waiting for help
for my conflicting adapters.

I hope you are using XP Pro - I don't know if it's the same for Home or not.

I copied my XP partition to another partition at the end of my 160 gig drive
before I started - that way I could import all my files when I needed them.
I exported my Outlook Contacts to a file and all my bookmarks to a file
before I stared. I took note of where all the things I wanted were before
I started - ie. favourites, and files for my Mailwasher - that kind of
thing. Take notes before you start - it saves heaps of time that way when
you need to copy or import, it's a breeze.

Then I put in my XP CD (I hope you are wanting to reinstall XP) and when the
screen came up that says if I wanted to delete the partition C, I said
"yes" - that way it was a clean format and it deleted everything on the
partition and then banged on a new one with clean files. I had a lurking
Trojan and I tried the other method where it finds your files and brings
them forward, but it brought it out and I had to do the other method in the
end anyway. So it was two installs for me. But that's up to you. If you
are sure you are clean, then go for the other method - it will save you
time.

Maybe others who have been on this group forever have other ideas, but I
just did this a week ago and it worked for me.

Good luck.
