I am running XP Professional and
have the firewall enabled.
However, I frequently get a pop-up
from Windows when I am logging-off
that "others are logged-onto my computer."
How can I block this intrusion?
Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that you did not leave a switched out
login active when you went to shut down ??
In Pro you can control the user right to log on over
the network and to log on locally in the Local Security
Policy. If an account is not listed here and not in a
group listed here, then it cannot log in. So this will
give you your point of control.
Next time it asks, look in the Shares area of compmgmt.msc
to see if it is a login to a share. Consider setting login
activity event logging in Local Security Policy so that you
can just look at the Security event log and see what accounts
have been active.
