Is it possible to uninstall XP and replace it with ME in
the following scenario? My original operating system was
ME. An upgrade to XP failed such that I did a new install
of XP that works. XP is in a different folder "C:\WINXP"
from ME "C:\WINDOWS" but is in the same drive partition.
Windows XP is not listed in "Add/Remove" programs such
that I would need to do a manual uninstall. I have read
the documentation in Q312569 but do not know if it applies
to my current situation. Even if I successfully uninstall
XP, will ME be functional?

Use a Win Me bootdisk and type:
sys c: at the prompt.
See links in my sig for a link to boot floppies.

Hi all

I have set up XP on a system using a ASUS P4B533-e motherboard using a
RAID drive and every thing seems to work 85% of the time but I am unable to
defrag. The system shuts right down saying there is a problem with my hard
drive and windows has shut down to prevent damage to my system . When I
reboot it tells me windows has recovered from a serious error and it was due
to a incorrect driver. The driver is a up to date driver from the ASUS site
that is supposed to work with XP. When checking the drivers in control panel
it says it is working fine. What do I do, any answers?
