I have a virus and am not at the point that I would like to reformat my pc
and start all over again. I knew how to do this with windows 98 but can't
seem to figure out how to do it with XP. PLEASE HELP!! Thank you!

Hi,

If you meant 'now at the point' and not 'not at the point'
Then put the XP CD in your drive and configure your computer to boot from CD
(done by going into the bios setup, normally by pressing either 'F1', 'F2'
or the 'Delete' key just after you turn your computer on , then look for
something referring to boot sequence)

Then when you next start up you'll get a message asking you to press a key
to boot from the CD for 2 or so seconds, Press a key and away you go.

Probably a good idea to try to get rid of the virus first?
http://housecall.trendmicro.com is one free way.
