I recently downloaded Windows Messenger 5.0 I entered a
contact with a .com e-mail address. It worked ok. The
next day I unintentionally deleted the contacts e-mail
address. I was unable to reinput this address because I
got an error message that the contact needed A .net
passport.I tried unsuccessfully to remove the little
green dot in the . net passport question that would have
allowed me to reinput the .com address. I then tried to
uninstall the 5.0 download by going to the control panel
and using the add/remove option. However the Windows
Messenger program did not appear there so right now I am
unable to remove Windows Messenger 5.0.

Greetings Carmine,

You can remove Windows Messenger 5.0 by clicking Start, then Run, type (or copy/paste) the
following:
msiexec.exe /x {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B10138}
and then click OK.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the "green dot" however.
