I had a nasty virus that deleted my sys. restore and win security etc and
lost my XP professional in the process along with office etc. Reinstalled
windows to xp home edition and want to delete office etc as they are useless
without XP Prof. However was told to uninstall, not delete but since they
don't show in my add/remove I haven't a clue how to get rid of them.

Please help!!

Hi thanks for replying, I don't want to re-run set up in case I lose my
network card and graphic card drivers. I wouldn't know how to obtain them,
unless I download from the net onto a CD. Would that work?

What makes you think that? Office components - Word, Excel etc - work
perfectly well in XP Home. though you will have to reinstall them so as
to set them up in the registry

Do you reckon then that office 2003 will work with xp he? Thanks for advice.
Will attempt that when I get the CD. Also do you know how I can get xp pro
back? thcomputer people upgraded my system to Xp pro. Its disappeared and I'm
back to xp he.

Yes it will. The only aspect that might not is use of one of the
facilities that expects to perform as a server on the Internet. Those
need support from Internet Information server which is Pro only. But
would not prevent your say designing HTML pages; just not 'publishing
them on the internet'
