Wizard suggested to choose to keep or clean. Will the repeated
installation of the same program overwrite these files? I mean will
installation process detect all this left folders, shared files and
overwrite it, do not duplicating creation of same folders?

Hi,

It depents on specific installator - if developer who created installer has
chosen that option or add that functionality files will be overwrite. In
most cases it happens.
overwrite it, do not duplicating creation of same folders?

It's not possible to create two subfolders with the same name in same
folder.

This is not a one way fits all situation. It's dependent on the
installation routine which is program specific. Best to check with the
program vendor for the particular program.

vendor is tight-lipped, no any helpful info there.. adobe photoshop 7

Check on the Adobe user forums, if there are any. It's still something
that's decided on by the vendor and how they do their installations.

Why is this an issue? Have you run into problems? I usually tell the
uninstall utility, if it asks this question, to remove these shared files.
But then I use a drive imaging program to regularly make a compressed image
of the drives. I make sure there is a current image before removing
software like this so if something goes wrong I can restore and try a
different approach.

no, this is not an issue, reinstallation is done smoothly. I wanted to
know what to do with these shared files further as this is a frequent
enough task.

thanks.
