I had to solve some bizzare problems by reinstalling XP
first on my E: partition and then another one on my C:
partition. These are both full installs not upgrades,
and they both work well, I want to get rid of the E:
drive install and keep the C: drive one, how do I do
that ? I see others have posted the same question but I
have not been able to find a good response. Can anyone
help me ??? Thank you !!

Use system properties, advanced, startup and recovery and make sure that
installation on the C drive is in the default box. Set your timeout value
to zero.

Next boot to the installation on the C drive. Using Windows explorer
navigate to the E: drive and delete the systemroot. If nothing else is on
E:, you can format that partition if you like from Computer Management.
