I am having a problem uninstalling drivers even from SAFE MODE. Once in SAFE
Mode, I click the device manager and attempt to remove network adapter card.
When clicking the plus signs there are several lines that I am attempting to
remove. Each gives me the error message, "Failed to uninstall the device.
The device may be required to boot up the computer." However, the device in
no longer physically installed on the motherboard. When I boot regularly,
the device and/or drivers do not show themselves or not seen in the device
manager window. I cannot do a reinstall until these are removed I have
discovered. I am running XP SP2. Can anyone help?? Thanks, RAJ

You might try going back to square 1. Put the card back in and reinstall it.
Then remove the driver from Device Manager. Shut down, pull the card out
and either reboot, or try putting the new card in.
