uninstall

You can't uninstall an OS. You'll have to install Me or 98 fresh. Why
you'd want to move to 98 or Me over 2000, I can never understand, but it's
your computer.

I've had many headaches with 2000. I've got one file left
that still has a virus attached - "dllhost.exe". I
reloaded 2000 and it corrected the other two files that
had viruses but not this one. Any ideas?? Thanks

Apparently you didn't go to the trouble of printing a fix page from Symantec and go exactly
by it. These new worms regenerate themselves, if the whole enchilada is not done. You are
more vulnerable with 98 and ME is crap.
Do this online virus scan from Symantec.

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/
It's in the center under Virus Definitions... Free... Do the Virus Scan

After you get through, print it, go to Google and look for the fix page for each of the
viruses, worms, or files it finds and get the fix page from Symantec. Go exactly by it and
do all of it in the order it says to do it, and 99.44% of the time you can get rid of it.
After that get prepared for "Oblivion". Hackers are vowed to screw up as much Microsoft
software as they can. Learn how to practice safe computing.

I'm not good on candy coating anything, although some say I am mild mannered. It is for your
protection that I a taking the time.
