To uninstall Office 2000, go to Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs. Scroll
down the list until you find Microsoft Office 2000. Select that entry and
click the Remove button. Follow the prompts.
To install Windows XP will depend on the installation method. If you are
upgrading, you can put the disk in the CD drive while Windows is running. It
should autoplay. Follow the prompts. Alternatively, you can place the disk
in the drive and reboot. The disk is bootable. Follow the prompts. The first
prompt will come fairly quickly, "Press any key to boot from the CD". You
will have 5 seconds to press a key before the computer boots normally. If
you can't boot from the CD, then you may need to change your BIOS setting to
tell the computer to boot from the CD. Ask your computer manufacturer how to
do this. If you have more questions about installing Windows XP, try the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.setup_deployment newsgroup. That's what they are
there for.
