Uninstall Kazaa

Hi to the group,
Hope someone can help. I recently helped a friend recover her xp home
system from multiple virus attacks (SWEN, NACHI, BLASTER etc) using Stinger,
fixblast etc.
Installed AdAware, Spybot and ran them to clear all spy/malware from the
system. Also, installed a firewall (Kerio).
Discovered Kazaa desktop installed and attempted to remove in Add/Remove
programs and couldn't, as a message kept popping up telling me that missing
dll file was preventing uninstall. So, I removed all of the file from the
program files area of the c: drive but still could not remove entry from
Add/Remove programs.
Should I reinstall Kazaa and try again or is there another way?

You should reinstall Kazaa, the missing DLL file was
probably accidentally removed, you should also get a
spyware checker that goes through Registry and Memory,
since I recently discovered "EAnthology" in my registry
and I can't clear it.

I have also had this problem, I also tried everything I

could to get rid of this program. In the end I did what
you did and manually removed all refrences to Kazaa.
Turn your firewall to block for this program and make
sure that P2P is also removed and then blocked.
I am afraid that all you can do after doing all of this
will be to learn from your mistakes and never install
kazaa again!
 
I have had this problem and its because of your spybot
removal tool. Kazaa won't run after you delete its
adware programs. You will need to reinstall kazaa and
then uninstall it and then run your spybot/adware
cleaning programs.
