Sorry about my previous message, I accidentally clicked send. Here's my
question: how do I uninstall Windows XP?

Boot with the XP install CD and start the installation process. Delete the
partition where XP is installed, recreate and allow the installation to
reformat the partition. XP is now uninstalled.

The normal way to "uninstall" any operating system is to format the
hard drive and install a new OS of your choice.

Only if you had performed an upgrade from Win98/Me, elected to
backup the old system files, and didn't convert the partition to NTFS,
can you then boot into Safe Mode and click Start > Control Panel >
Add/Remove Programs to uninstall WinXP. All of these conditions must be
met for the uninstall option to be available.

To get an answer suited to your situation, you should explain what the
current configuration is now, what's installed, where, on what drives, where
are the boot files, etc.

As a general answer the way to uninstall an OS is format the drive it's on.
This can't be done from within XP, it can be done by booting from the XP
installation CD.
