Hi, i
I just got this Sony VAIO laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium preloaded.

Whenever I select the Vaio User Guide icon on the desktop, I get an error
message: unicode wrapper not found: unicows.dll then the browser
displaying the Guide open anyway.

Where can I download the proper Vista compatible "unicows.dll" file and
where should I copy it

Thanks in advance

If you do a Google search, you'll find all kinds of fixes and references but
the fact is, you shouldn't have this kind of error right out of the box.
The first thing you should do is either contact Sony tech support or take
the system back and exchange it for one not throwing you this error on a new
setup.

The one caveat would be, if you've installed any other software which is why
I mention calling Sony tech support. If there are known issues which would
produce this error, they'd likely know it and the might ask you if you have
a particular application installed.
