I know that when you want to unhide several columns that
you are suppose to select the column before and after the
hidden area, then go to Format, Column and Unhide. I did
that BUT nothing unhides. Just stays the same. I know I
can drag the columns open but we are talking way too many
columns to do that. I've hidden from column J to column
BL. Any ideas I sure can use your help.
..

Make sure that the width hasn't been set to some small number that effectively
makes it *look* like it's been hidden. Do CTRL+A, then Format / Columns /
Unhide, then Format Columns / Width / 8.

Have you tried this, with row and column headers
displayed, click in the top left box, then go to Format:
Columns: Unhide. This should unhide every column in the
sheet.

Type
J:BL
in the name box (to the left of the formula bar)
Format|column|Unhide

And if you have Window|freeze panes enabled, you may be unhiding an area you
can't scroll to.

Just unfreeze those panes (pains???): Window|Unfreeze panes
