underscoring and email address

In Outlook when sending an email. I need to underline part of the address
and I don't have an underline icon that's available. How do you underscore a
email address. For example: jenniemerkley@.... and the merkley part needs
underscored.
 
email addresses are plain text, e.g. (e-mail address removed). No
formatting is necessary or possible.
