Hi all,

How to copy unconditional formatting to the below 10 rows? For example
H2,J2,L2 is having "Bottom 1 items" formatting.
How to copy the same formatting to the below rows?

Thanks for any replies.

Trish

Hi

Mark the row number that has the formatting you want to copy.
Click the format painter icon.
Mark the row number of the rows you want to receive the formatting, with the
painter icon.

You can *double* click the format painter icon to keep it "in force" when
the cells to format are *not* contiguous, and you must click individually on
each cell.

When finished using it, hit <Esc> to de-select the icon.

Both the answers doesn't work. Some other advice please. Normal formatting
and Unconditional formatting are two different thing I guess.

I'm familiar with "formatting" and "conditional formatting".

What's your definition of "unconditional formatting"?

And could you elaborate on exactly what you're referring to when you say,
"bottom 1 items formatting".

thanks for the reply. I am using `Microsoft Office Excel 2007'.

Under `Conditional Formatting' --> there is `Below 1 items'. Selected this
formatting on a row (H2,J2,L2).

How to copy the same conditional formatting on the below 10 rows?

Trish

Hi

Conditional Formatting>Manage Rules>change entry in Applies to field, to
cover the range you want the CF applied to.

Hi Rick

Once you do, you will be pleased.
It only takes a short while to get used to the ribbon, and there are now
plenty of ways to Customize that.

I'm sure SP1 will be along before too long which will hopefully address some
of the "issues" which have arisen.

I'll wait as long as I can!<bg>
