Unchangeable Style

An existing style that I created (i.e. A letter list, for example, a., b.,
c., etc.) was modified by someone else. I was successful in resetting that
style so that all of its instances throughout the document were returned to
my original specifications. However, when I Restart Numbering on any of the
letter lists, Word reverts back to the style previous to my correction. I've
eliminated any other same-named styles. Why is Word continually reverting
back to this incorrect style?

I would suggest you post your question in microsoft.public.word.numbering.

Is "microsoft.public.word.numbering" a URL? Any way that it's typed, I'm
notified that it is "unresolved".

It's a newsgroup. You can get to it directly (using an NNTP newsreader such
