I was trying to uninstall a program and got this error message:

Unable to copy the installation log file to temporary location
"c:\Windows\_detmp.1". Please ensure enough space is available for
this file.

Of course I could not find "_detmp.1" file on my machine. I searched
Microsoft's knowledge base and came up empty. What exactly does that
mean?

On the face of it, it means you dont have enough disk space on your C:
drive/partition.

that what I initially thought, but obviously there were plenty of
space on drive C. The program I was trying to uninstall is not even on
Drive C, it's on drive D.
