I am running windows 98 2nd edition and I am unable to share files of the
very same computer I am setting up with network settings. Eventually I want
to connect to another computer with a parallell cable but thats another story.

Here is my setup:
Client for MS networks
Primary logon is: Client for MS networks
File and printer sharing for MS networks
I want to be able to give others access files and print boxes are both
checked.
Browse master: automatic (I also tried enabled, no success)

Why is it then when I click on entire network and find my computer, the
directory is completely empty?

I have tried the above settings also with including the netware clients with
all kinds of permutations without success.

Thanks!

To use the Parallel to Parallel connect on Win 98 you need to launch 'Direct
Cable Connect' and follow the prompts to establish the connection.

One PC will be the Host and the other Guest. SHare files from Host to Guest.

This will not be reflected in Network Places.

Unless a connection existis there isn't a network!
