I am using Win XP Pro, Outlook 2002, and SBC-Yahoo DSL service.

My SBC pop email account is working fine.
I am trying to set up another new pop email account.
When I perform the "test account setting" I got this error message:

[Send test email message: unable to send test message. Please verify the
E-Mail address field.]

I re-type the email address many times, and received same error. What gives?

Are you using (e-mail address removed) as the username for the incoming server
in new account? Are you using that username's password for the password on
the incoming server? Have you selected the option to authenticate to the
outgoing server on the Outgoing Server tab of the accounts properties pages?

Thanks for your post.
I am not using sbcglobal.net email account.
I am using gmail pop email account.

When I perform the "test account setting", all other tests passed, except
only one test failed. That is the test "send test email message". I got
this error message:
[Send test email message: unable to send test message. Please verify the
E-Mail address field.]

Sorry, I misread your message. Exactly what steps are you using to create
the gmail account?
