Unable to send email

Until recently I have not had any problems sending or
receiving email. Now, however I am unable to send email.
I still receive email, but whenever I try to send
anything I get the following error message:

An unknown error has occurred. Subject '',
Account: 'pop.erols.com', Server: 'smtp.erols.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC0B

It does not appear that the problem is with my ISP. If
anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated.
 
It looks like erols has been swallowed by rcn. From the main
www.erols.com page, clicking on FAQ or Customer Support takes you to an
rcn site, which suggests that your email settings ouught to be changed
to:
Outgoing mail SMTP: smtp.rcn.com
Incoming mail POP3: pop.rcn.com

You probably should confirm by calling erols customer service.
 
0x800CCC0B BUSY (Server or maildrop is busy)

Unless your servers have changed per Lem's reply, I'd suggest the problem is
on your ISP's end.
