Mom Mary

I am unable to send email due to the following error. My ISP says it is my
problem. I have tried everything. HELP PLEASE

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'what ever', Account:
'pop.integrity.com', Server: 'pop.integrity.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Is Integrity your home ISP? Was your Internet connection obtained
from Integrity when you got that error message, or were you on a
laptop away from home?

Also, which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not fully
compatible with Windows Mail.

We have ATT as our internet ISP and use Integrity for email. We are
connected to a wireless router at home on a lap top. We use Norton Internet
Security and I have turned the email scanning off. It was working fine until
last Friday. I am unware that anything changed. Any insight?

AT&T will usually block port 25 connections to a non-AT&T mail server,
unless you've obtained a special dispensation from AT&T.
The general policy requires blocking for anti-spam reasons, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

There's a couple of ways to handle this.
a) Ask Integrity if they allow SMTP on a port other than '25'.
or b) Replace your current SMTP server with smtp.att.yahoo.com.
The exact way to do this is a bit tricky, but if you want to go that route,
I can provide more details.

Also, we can't totally rule out your Norton security program as the culprit.
In order to rule it out as the possible cause of the problem, you'd have
to do a temporary uninstall, followed up by using their special removal
tool:

Instead of uninstalling your antivirus, another option is to upgrade to
Windows Live Mail, which is more resistant to the adverse effects of overly
intrusive antivirus products: http://download.live.com/wlmail
