When sending e-mails in Outlook 2003 from my Comcast e-mail account I
frequently get the error message...

"Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x80070057) : 'Could not
complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.'"

This especially seems to happen when I attempt to forward e-mails. Does
anyone know how this problem be resolved? This is frustrating because this
is my only e-mail account and thus I am left unable to send e-mails.

Are you forwarding to specific individuals? I'm thinking perhaps a couple of
corrupted contacts?

Did you transfer your PST in from another computer, was this an Outlook
upgrade, did you change ISP's?
Have you tried running Office diagnostics?

Thanks. I believe I did transfer in my PST from another computer, though
that was years ago. I don't believe this was an Outlook upgrade, i.e. I
believe this computer came with Outlook 2003 installed. I haven't changed
ISPs since purchasing this computer though I have moved and retained the same
ISP (Comcast). How do I run Office diagnostics?

Alex

I no longer have my old computer, but I'm pretty sure it was also running
Outlook 2003. The current size of the file is approximately 2 GB. I'm not
sure of the size when the transfer was made.

Thanks. What do I risk losing if I do this? Will my calendar, contacts,
etc. stay intact or will I need to recreate them?

Alex

Make sure you have a copy of your current PST. It contains your calendar,
contacts, emails, etc.

I changed my default web browser to Firefox and that seems to have resolved
or at least improved the situation. Hate to say it, but score another one
for software other than Microsoft...
