Unable to save Word 2000 document I just created in Spanish

Hi. I am having a problem saving a new document I just created in Spanish.
I have created multiple different documents using the multilingual interface,
but each time I try to save them, it acts like it is saving but nothing
happens. When I create the document in English, I have no problems saving --
only spanish. I have tried reinstall a few times, but nothing seems to work.
I am running Windows XP with MS Office 2000. Can someone please help???

This sounds very odd... Can't say I've ever heard of anything like this. When
you say you create the document in Spanish, what do you mean, more exactly? Do
you just type Spanish text? Or do you also format the text with the Spanish
language? Do you see Spanish in the menus? Are you using any kind of tool or
Addin?

Exactly what steps do you use when you try to save the document?
