Unable to save Photo Gallery despite advice from this forum

I am experiencing the same Photo Gallery saving woes as most people on the forum. I have opened my website and then from there try and create the photo Gallery. When I try and save I get the error message stating that a website has to be open in order for Photo Gallery to be able to save.
What am I missing here?

Someone stated that you need to import all the photos into your webiste before they can be used. I tried this but the Import feature does not allow me to import images and only appears to be meant for importing web pages.
 
1. Start FP, then File Menu | Open Web
2. Import all images etc. into the current open web
3. Create Photo Gallery in this current open web

Photo Gallery is such a pain...It's time to use an alternative BETTER
program:
