I get the following error 'Some errors occurred while
processing the requested tasks. Please revie the list of
errors below for more details'. The details:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Account: 'xxxxx', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '+OK', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I see the number of outstanding messages that is about to
be received 1-26 and then I get the error as stated above.

Any ideas? Suggesting?

The account that is failing is the (default) mail
account. My daughter's account (on the same computer and
user accout) is able to send and receive e-mail without
any issue.

Everything worked fine two days ago.....

I had the same problem and all I needed to do was to log into my web-mail on
Comcast and delete my spam from there, then all was fine in Outlook.
It seems that occasionally an email will do that.

Hope that helps.

What version of Outlook do you have? Do you have multiple mail accounts in
your profile that point to the same ISP's servers?

You might need to login to your email via web mail and
delete some corrupt or large messages.

I've been getting a similar problem with both my wife's and my computer.
We both have multiple accounts on comcast. We are using Outlook 2000 SP3
(9.0.0.6627).

Leaving Outlook open does not cause any problems, just no mail gets
downloaded. Manually running send/recieve gives the following error:
"Some messages couldn't be received from the server. This usually
happens when the connection to the server is lost due to server or
network problems. If the problem persists, contact your administrator."

I have called comcast and they don't have a percise explaination.

I can solve the problem for a while by going to the Comcast Web interface
for mail and deleting the obvious spam messages. It seems to be the spam
with the garbled header, prob. trojan/worm generated. Is there a more
precise answer? Is there a solution?

Thanks,
P.

I get the same message. Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't
see the point of having an email client if every time I want to send
email I need to sign on to the web based email, and clean out the
garbage. The fix is good, maybe for a day.
