Unable to Read URL from host g.msn.com

When trying to do searches from the IE Version
6.0.2800.1106 home page the following message appears on
most attempts:
"Unable to read URL from host g.msn.com: Connection reset
by peer."
Any suggestions as to how to fix this will be appreciated.

And from another thread----
the problem was in my advanced proxy settings. checking
the "use the same proxy server for all protocols" box
allowed me to access secure sites and solved the problem.
