Hi,
Recently I have just changed my motherboard and my ram and not I can't log
into my windows. It'll just bring me to the screen where they will prompt me
to choose to start in safe mode or start as last known config. It's been the
same everytime I reboot it and I can't even choose one of the options they
give.
When I put in the Windows CD to re-install the Windows, It'll only read the
Cd for awhile before going back to the same page where they will ask you to
choose the safe mode.
Any suggestions?

You must set the BIOS to boot from CD, then with the CD in the drive Reboot
the computer. Choose "Repair" from the options. If you don't know how to
get into BIOS, check the manual that came with the motherboard...it's
different for each motherboard.

I hoped you backed up your important files before making
such a major change to your computer. With Windows XP
you can not make a lot of changes at once with your
hardware. Windows thinks this is a new/different
computer and will only shut down to protect your files.
You need to reformat the hard drive then install Windows
XP again. Once you have installed Windows XP then it has
to be activated again and this might be a problem. You
may receive the message that your copy of Windows XP has
already been activated. You will have to call Microsoft,
tell them your problem and ask for a new activation
code. If they don't believe you then you will have to
purchase a new copy of Windows XP! Microsoft has
bulletins about this, you can read on their web site.
PS: If you didn't back up your files then find another
computer and add your drive as a slave drive and backup
your information then reformat. Good luck.
