Unable to open Outlook.

Hi guys

Any help appreciated as I couldnt find answer on Help pages

I am using Windows 2000

And Out of the Blue I got the following message when trying to open Outlook

My question is

How do I restart a program I cant open .

Where can I buy a Big Hammer !

Program Error

OUTLOOK.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will
need to restart the program.

An error log is being created.

See if you have the latest service pack for your version of Office. Applying
it may resolve your problem. You can also try a reinstall of the product.
 
Open any other Office Program (word, for instance) and use Help->Detect and
Repair.

Reinstalling seldom fixes the underlying problem - it just carries it over
to the new installation.

Hi

All my software is up to date.

I opened word and tried detect & repair, no joy

is there no way to see the error log and what it means ?

looks like I'll be using Outlook Express for the foreseeable
