Unable to open OST file

I have a .ost file that was created with the client
connected to a 2000 exchange server. Which I am trying to
open in Outlook however I am getting a error that the ost
file was created for another mail account and cannot be
opened. Is there any way to open this file with outlook?

If you have an orphaned OST file, and the original mailbox for it is gone,
you may need to get out your credit card and see www.exchangerecovery.com -
it does work.

However, before going that far - can you provide more details about what
happened?
