unable to open more internet explorer

When I surfing , the system is hang when 5 internet explorer is open.. I did
re-install the windows XP but still face the same problem. Is that any
setting that i can do to solve this ?

You haven't provided enough information to get focused answers. When you
reinstalled, did you do a Repair Install or a Clean Install? What
antivirus and firewall are you using (name and version)? How do you
connect to the Internet (method and name of ISP)? What hardware are you
using? What exactly does "5 internet explorer" mean?

IE 5 was shipped with at least some versions of WinXP.
Sounds like the updates have not been completed, or IE 5 was left by intent.
