Hi, All

Every time I am trying to open a certain folders (in Windows Explorer) that contain
my solidworks files, microsoft windows installer pop out of nowhere an
notifies me: "Preparing to install..." The whole computer hangs then wit
the exception of CTRL-ALT-DEL sequence that I use to terminate this M
installer. After that computer unfreezes. BUT I still can not browse th
files via Windows Explorer in that particular folder. I have no idea what MS installer is trying to install as I do not request its service when opening a folder

Has anybody seen this problem? Please let me know..

If your opening a file which uses a program (I guess something to do with
solidwork) and you experience the installer pop up, I would repair or
re-install the program.
I have seen this with Microsoft Word, when I repaired the program using add
and remove programs, this fixed it

Good Luck
