Unable to open apps

A message that say my OS is not configured to open this application.
this happens when I try to open WinWord from my flash drive. Copy to
hard drive did not solve it. Confused...
Any suggestion would be appreciated, thankx

In order for Winword exe to work on your computer, MS Word from the Office Suite has
to be formally installed on the hard drive, using the installer for that program.
You cannot just copy it to a hard drive or a flash drive....it won't work that way.
