New user here. I downloaded a program. I scanned it for viruses. The icon
is on my opening screen. I click the icon and get a popup titled WinZip
Self-Extractor. I click Unzip. I get a message saying "28 files unzipped
successfully". I close the WinZip screen and click the icon again. The
WinZip screen returns. I have tried restarting the computer. I keep going
around in clircles. What next?

You can try deleting the Icon. If all went well the files were
extracted and placed who knows where on your hard drive. Your next step is
to find them. You may then need to run one of those files to install your
program.

I suggest you may want to scan your whole computer for viruses just to
be sure.

If you need more help, I suggest trying to find a newsgroup relating to
the program you downloaded.

Sorry. This is a newsgroup dedicated to questions about Access, the
database program in Office Professional. It appears your question may not
be related to these subjects. The Microsoft help system is not all that
clear and may have misdirected you here.

It is best to ask your questions in a newsgroup dedicated to the
subject of your question. You should find people better able to address
your problem there.

Note: It is always best to indicate the name and version of any
program(s) you may be using when asking a question and also indicate the
operating system (like Windows XP or 98) when you ask a question.
