I just could not get my two computers to recognize each other. Sadly.
So, I can't use my old address book for Outlook Express in my new computer...

But, I got a little external drive from my computers and have been using it
to move the docs... but... I don't exactly know where to look for my address
book and all the emails in a file. Do you see what I mean? I can't find the
basic files, the ones you can move. And, once I find them, where do I put
them in the new computer? What is the file called? and where do I find it?

Here's hoping. :)

I think the best way to do this is export it and then export it.

I'd suggest asking in the microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
newsgroup as I think they could tell you how to export the data & then
import it.

Hi Robert,
I'm a little unclear on exporting. When I tried to use the wizard it asked
me to use a serial port cable, and my new computer doesn't have a serial
port... the one with all the pins or pin holes.

Do you think I could export it to the little hard drive I'm using to move my
documents?

Oh, that's a good idea. I looked through the forums for a more suited one,
but I didn't recognize a better alternative. I may have looked at the Outlook
one and failed to appreciate what I was seeing. (I have a bit of brain
damage.)

Thank you :)

I would export to the local drive or UBS drive.

I think i posted to that forum. But I haven't had any reply. Ulness it went
to the wrong computer...

I've gotten my old schedule onto this machine... just by puttin g it all on
the little hard drive that I can move. So it's all the ones I used to have in
exactly the same orader. Only it's a blah white, whereas it used to be sort
of golden.

The data isn't in my new Contacts in the new Microsoft Office... But maynbe
I should just be happy that I can access my phone numbers again. whew.
