I just did a fresh installation of WinXP Pro and
installed a small program (Samurize) that I've configured
to show cpu and memory usage. Works fine. I reboot and
the cpu usage is no longer available. In the event viewer:
Error 1517(Userenv), 4354(EventSystem), and 1017(Perflib)
show up.
Error1517: Windows saved user **\** registry while an
application or service was still using the registry
during log off. The memory used by the user's registry
has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it
is no longer in use.
Error4354: The COM+ Event System failed to fire the
ConnectionMade method on subscription {10336588-3F82-43D5-
9B8F-FDCBFF606886}-{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}-
{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}. The subscriber
returned HRESULT 80004001.
Error1017: Performance counter data collection from
the "PerfOS" service has been disabled due to one or more
errors generated by the performance counter library for
that service. The error(s) that forced this action have
been written to the application event log. The error(s)
should be corrected before the performance counters for
this service are enabled again.
This problem originally manifested itself when another
program I use no longer would run and displayed the
error: "Unable to locate "Processor" Performance Object".
Under Perfmon, Processor Frequency stays pegged at 100%.
Any suggestions?
