Hi friends, I am currently using Windows XP sp1 pro, and I have tried invain
for two whole days trying to joing windows NT 4.0 domain. Every time I try
to join the domain I get an error message "either the domain doesn't exist
or it is in accesible". I have administrator privileges for the domain. I
have tried every trick that is listed in MS knowledge base but nothing
worked for me. I am able to ping the domain controller just fine. The only
reason I want to join the domain is so that I can install Exchnage server
administrator on my desktop ( which would save me lots for trips to the
server room). I even installed NetBeui (default is tcp/ip). If anybody have
a trick up their sleaves please be kind to share .

Thanks.

You did add your computer name to the domain (in server manager), didn't
you?

No David, I have not done that, I never had to do that before to join the
domain, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
