A couple of months ago I had to reset my computer to how
it was when first purchased. Before this was done, I had
installed Office 97 and up-graded to 2002 Office XP. Now
both of these are no longer on my computer, but I do have
the installation disc's that were initially purchased.
When I try to re-install these original disc's, nothing
happens. Almost everything I used the computer for
involved Office XP, including college and work. If anyone
can help, I would really appreciate it. The Fall term is
beginning soon and I am rather desperate. When I tried
Microsoft Support, a gentleman that had little experience
speaking the English language was absolutely no help at
all.
Thanks,
Sheila

Hi... Most people have there cd rom or whatever driver
they use for cd as the D drive , So try this go to the
run command and type >>> D: setup <<< then click ok ....
This should start the loading process ... It sound that
your cd rom isn't loading up when there is a disk in
it ... If that doesn't work you can also try this as well
double click My Computer and you shall see all your drive
there , look for the cd rom again in most case its the D
drive ... If you see this D drive double click on it ,
make sure you have your disk in the cd rom .... That will
start up the loading process and from there on i am sure
you will figure out what to do next to install the
disk .... hope it helps
