Dear All,
Following the installation of the last set of upgrades, the option to
hibernate when I shut down has dissappeared from the combo box.
Any way of putting it back in?

Hi Alex,

Were any of the updates driver updates? If so, you will likely need to
rollback to the previous version (done from the driver tab of the device's
properties from device manager). Loss of hibernation as an option is nearly
always caused by a driver problem.

1. Click the Start button.

2. Select All Programs.

3. Select Accessories.

4. Right-click on Command Prompt.

5. Select Run as Administrator.

6. When the UAC prompt appears, click Continue.

7. Type

powercfg /hibernate on

and press Enter on your keyboard.

8. Close the Command Prompt window.

9. Reboot your PC.
