unable to get rid of a taskbar permanently

Hi
In my internet explorer I have a toolbar called "SEARCH
TOOLBAR" that somehow found its way onto my computer. I
want to get rid of it permanently. I right clik on my
toolbar and un-tick it and it will go away for the current
browser, but will always come back in any new window.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
